Contingenci by Good Human is unfortunately one of the very few sustainable manufacturers and the world, while also being one of the last few manufacturers still left in the US. The values here lie within the wellbeing of our people as well as our planet. Contingenci strives to utilize cutting edge engineering to create a closed loop manufacturing model where waste is up-cycled into new products. Product Development
As a member of the "engineering team" at Contingenci, I utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create CAD sketches and digital mock-ups. These sketches and mock-ups are then passed over to the seamstresses where the back and forth product development can begin. I am also to create a BOM for every development using our MRP software, Kitana.
Sustainability
Along with every great product idea comes the big question of "How do we make it sustainably??". With apparel being one of the top causes of global pollution we put a-lot of thought and effort into ensuring that we not only try to keep our own carbon footprint low, but we create product lines that take in waste so we can start cleaning all our mess up. A major part of my job is solving these problem and finding ways to scale those solutions.
Collaboration Projects
Through my time at Contingenci, I've been able to assist on projects with The Northface, Specialized, Jenn RX, NCFit and Fox Racing to name a few. My duties with these projects included tech pack creation, fit sessions, virtual pattern development, graphic development, production, fabric and trim id/testing, MRP software date entry and quality assurance.
